These easy cinnamon knots seem like a delicious holiday breakfast option. They’re easy to make in advance and would be the perfect pastry alongside coffee. Emmett and I are very into sweet breakfast options, so these look delectable and beautiful.

#2 // Hot Honey Squash
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (3)

We’ve been on a hot honey kick over here! I’ve been cooking with it often lately. This hot honey squash features feta cheese and pepitas for the perfect savory kick. The hasselback texture is beautiful and would make a great holiday side dish (that’s my plan).

#3 // Classic Butter Sugar Cookies

10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (4)Every year, I bake a few batches of my grandmother’s classic stamped sugar cookies. I can’t believe I haven’t made them yet this year! I think it’s happening this weekend or early next week. Regardless, these are getting made before Christmas. This is an heirloom family tradition and I’ve been craving them since November. Haha!

#4 // Holiday Apps & Veggie Tray
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (5)

We’re not hosting or getting together with our family this year for Christmas, but one thing I’ve always loved about family get togethers is always having something to snack on. In the days leading up to the holiday, the day of (while waiting on the main meal to cook), and leftovers after-the-fact… these types of apps are perfect! My family usually puts together a big veggie tray or charcuterie that we continuously snack on. This year, since it’s just Emmett & I, I’m thinking I’ll put together Eden’s beautiful veggie wreath. It’s also nice to have some green veggies amongst the more indulgent holiday foods.

Tis the season for soup! Now that it’s finally snowing and accumulating here in Salt Lake, I’ve been dreaming of easy, hot, big batches of soup. This tomato tortellini looks so good! I feel like this would be a nice “week of Christmas” meal- either before or after. I’m envisioning a fun ski day, then coming home to devour this.

#6 // Gingerbread Cookies
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (7)

I’m a gingerbread fan! I love the way it looks, tastes, and it’s easy to make. During the week of Christmas, I usually end up eating cookies for breakfast with my coffee… again- we’re the type of people who enjoy sweets for breakfast. I also make lots of cookies each holiday and put together little gift boxes for neighbors and friends. I’ll be doing that again this year, and these are crowd pleasers. They’re fun to decorate!

#8 // Chicken & Noodles
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (9)

My friend Whitney shared her dinner earlier this week, which happened to be this- chicken and noodles, served over mashed potatoes. I was thinking that looks so good and it has been awhile since I’ve had or made this. I clicked through to her next IG story, and apparently this is not ‘a thing’ everywhere?! I grew up eating my chicken & noodles on top of mashed potatoes (like Whitney). She took a poll, and it turns out this is a midwestern / southern food situation? If you’re not eating carbs on carbs on carbs like this, obviously you’re missing out. Haha! But really, it’s a delicious combination that tastes like home. Does anyone else do this?

#9 // Kale Pesto Pizza
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (10)

We’re continuing our weekly pizza tradition throughout the holidays. I feel like the holidays and pizza actually kind of go hand-in-hand? I remember staying up late, playing board games with my family, and ordering carryout pizza during the holiday season. Maybe it’s a nostalgic thing? Do you have any holiday pizza traditions? This pesto one looks tasty, and it’s red and green… which feels festive.

#10 // French Silk Pie
10 Recipes I'm Making Before the Year's End - Room for Tuesday (11)

I actually just made a French silk pie for Thanksgiving, and Emmett was bummed because he only got one slice (and there was none leftover for breakfast). I promised him I’d make another one for Christmas since he didn’t get as much as he would’ve liked, ha! I figured this time, I’d try a difference recipe… just for fun, since I’m doing it again. This one is intriguing because there are no raw eggs. I like a classic French silk pie, so I’m wondering how this one will taste. I’m excited to try it!

You know what I’ll be up to this coming weekend, in addition to work and mailing out Tuesday Made orders… cooking & baking! I actually have awesome news to share with you- my friend Kyla resurrected my cookie swap this year, so next week I’ll be posting my annual Blog Hop Cookie Swap after all, alongside my blogging buddies. I’ve been so busy, I definitely had given up on it this year, but she was excited to take the lead as organizer since my plate has been full. I’m looking forward to continuing the tradition! See you back here on Monday?
